When four women with nothing in common are brutally murdered, a "Mr. Nobody" is seemingly able to strike at will, undetected in a city paralyzed with fear. With precious few clues apparent at the murder scenes, only Dr Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner with an unerring eye for detail can piece together the information. Using the latest advances in forensic science she is close to unmasking the killer. However, she faces threats from the inside, as someone is trying to sabotage her work, or worse, and do away with her altogether…
Great Linda La Plant read

Too much about the detectives love life and house renovation - the two are linked, but not with the crime to be solved. Otherwise a reasonable read.
