Violence doesn't always stay in the past. It marks the bodies it encounters, the investigators who follow it and the cases that result. Michael Connelly, Karin Slaughter and Robert Bryndza are working the same dark territory: American and British crime at its most unsparing, where detectives are driven to their limits and the truth, when it comes, demands something in return. These are not novels that let you go easily.
Michael Connelly, A Darkness More Than Night – Retired FBI profiler McCaleb investigates ritualistic killings and finds his profile pointing at Harry Bosch.
Karin Slaughter, Indelible – When gunmen open fire in a Georgia police station, medical examiner Sara Linton must keep Police Chief Jeffrey Tolliver alive.
Robert Bryndza, Darkness Falls – Kate Marshall's cold case investigation into a missing journalist uncovers a serial killer targeting those no one looks for.
Excellent choice. I have only read 3 books so far but have enjoyed them immensely and I am looking forward to the next book. I have bought from bookhound before and will again. Thank you.
Ian Rankin is always a good read but it is interesting to have one of his other series which shows a different style and for me the best read in the selection.
