A haunting and atmospheric crime trilogy set on the remote Isle of Lewis, where past and present intertwine in a landscape as stark as the secrets it holds. Dark, immersive and beautifully written, this gripping series follows Fin Macleod as he confronts old ghosts and chilling buried truths.
The Lewis Man - A body from a peat bog forces Fin Macleod back to Lewis and into the fading memories of a man losing his past.
The Chessmen - An investigation into illegal game-hunting on Lewis leads Macleod back to a childhood friend carrying a secret that could destroy everything.
The Blackhouse- A brutal murder draws the Edinburgh detective back to the Isle of Lewis, where old wounds and darker instincts refuse to stay buried.
Three novels set on one island - and a detective who can never quite leave his home behind.
Excellent choice. I have only read 3 books so far but have enjoyed them immensely and I am looking forward to the next book. I have bought from bookhound before and will again. Thank you.
Ian Rankin is always a good read but it is interesting to have one of his other series which shows a different style and for me the best read in the selection.
