Behind every city's bright façade, danger lurks. These novels share a preoccupation with killers who are organised, deliberate and invisible until it is almost too late, and with the detectives who sense them long before the evidence catches up. From London's underworld to the courtrooms of Los Angeles, from a billionaire's hidden past to a detective forced far outside his comfort zone, No Safe Streets is crime that keeps its nerve from the first page to the last.
Ian Rankin, Tooth & Nail – Rebus heads south to help London's Met Police hunt a serial killer and finds himself fighting on two fronts.
Michael Connelly, The Concrete Blonde – Bosch faces civil court for a fatal shooting while evidence emerges that the Dollmaker may still be at large.
Linwood Barclay, Find You First – a dying tech millionaire searches for his donor children before an unknown killer can reach them.
Martina Cole, Hard Girls – Retired DCI Kate Burrows is drawn back to help hunt a serial killer preying on Grantley's streets.
Excellent choice. I have only read 3 books so far but have enjoyed them immensely and I am looking forward to the next book. I have bought from bookhound before and will again. Thank you.
Ian Rankin is always a good read but it is interesting to have one of his other series which shows a different style and for me the best read in the selection.
